DISCLOSURE CO-PRODUCE JAMES BOND THEME SONG

The Lawrence brothers lended their productions skills to Sam Smith's theme.

Disclosure revealed that they co-produced Sam Smith's James Bond theme song.

The Lawrence brothers, who have worked with Smith in the past, confirmed their involvement in a tweet.  Jimmy Napes, another of Smith's longtime collaboraters, also contributed to the theme for the twenty-fourth James Bond movie, Spectre.

After dropping a big hint in an Instagram post, Sam Smith confirmed today that he was chosen to sing the theme for the movie. “This is one of the highlights of my career. I am so excited to be a part of this iconic British legacy and join an incredible line up of some of my biggest musical inspirations,” Smith said in a press release.

Speaking to Radio 1's Nick Grimshaw, Smith said that he composed the theme in twenty minutes. “I got called into the office with Barbara Broccoli and Sam Mendes and they gave me the script, I read the script... they said ‘have a go at the song’. It’s the quickest I’ve ever written a song — it took twenty minutes and they loved it! I love the song so much”.

Spectre is due for release on 26th October.
