SURGEON TO RELEASE LP RECORDED ON HAWAIIAN ISLAND
Out via Editions Mego in November.
Surgeon is to release an album recorded on the Hawaiian island of Maui on Editions Mego.
'Electronic Recordings from Maui Jungle Vol. 1' was recorded by producer Anthony Child in Haiku-Pauwels, Maui between 21st January and 8th February 2015 on his modular system. The label describes the recordings as an “exercise in concentration and trance”.
“Birds, insects and raindrops are allowed to break through,” Edition Mego goes on to explain, “while you can sense the thick, humid air and deep colours of the surrounding resonating in the pasties synth lines.”
It’s the first album that Child has released since 2013’s ‘The Space Between People and Things’.
Of late, Child has been touring with collaborator Lady Starlight and also recently supported Lady Gaga.
