No expense has been spared on the new VCM-600 midi controller from Vestax. It gives users access to over 160 parameters, which can be assigned to the DJ control section, and uses exactly the same knobs and faders as found on their hardware mixers.
Its highly visible, with tones of back lit buttons plus two LED panels, one on either side, to ensure every knob and fader can be seen in club conditions.
Even though there's not a jog wheel to be found on this beauty, it's still especially designed for mixing. It's divided into two main sections, there's six identical channels in one half, plus a crossfader section and pitch control zone. The hybrid studio/DJ style layout is just begging to be used with software such as Ableton live.
No word on pricing, but its scheduled for release this summer, better get saving then because we don't expect this one to be cheap.
