DJ MAG WEEKLY PODCAST: DIXON AVENUE BASEMENT JAMS

The B.O.B nominated label at the forefront of Glasgow's club scene deliver the goods!

Dixon Avenue Basement Jams have been at forefront of Glasgow’s dance music scene for some years now. In turn, the label has managed to instill something of the raucous energy of the city's clubs and parties into its releases. DABJ might have only have been founded by Dan Lurinsky and Kenny Grieve in 2012 but the duo's history goes way back having put on events in Glasgow as Monox for over a decade.

In the past year, the pair have put out releases from Big Denis Sulta, Modini and Big Miz – the latter’s exquisitely funky ’Midnight Man Handle’ has been a particular highlight.

We recently nominated DABJ for a Best of British award in the Breakthrough Label category and this mix, that the label have put together for us, should give you a good idea of why.

DABJ are guest curating a night tomorrow at Oslo in Hackney with themselves, Bake & Ryan Martin on the bill, see here for details. They are also curating a second night on 19th December with themselves and DJ TLR.
