2016 IS GETTING SIX MONTHS OF SANKEYS IBIZA

It’s the news everyone’s been hoping for... the Ibiza season is being extended by the team behind legendary nightlife brand Sankeys, who have announced that they’ll be opening the club on 1st May for a mammoth six-month run.

Its doors will remain open until 31st October for a gigantic closing fiesta - a massive three day Halloween festival weekend kicking off with Tribal Sessions’ closing party on the 29th and other events dotted around the island.

They’re also launching Dance 88/89, a brand new acid house and balearic beats themed night with DJ Alfredo and Bushwacka confirmed residents - which runs every Wednesday from 25th May until 28th September.

While Mondays are getting tech and bass house crews Magna Carta and Shelter, Thursdays will get The Redlight — a US house and UK garage focused night. On Fridays, Apple Bum will be setting up shop, bringing their colourful flavour of hip-hop and R&B styling, with guests like Grandmaster Flash, DJ Snoopadelic (Snoop Dogg) and Jazzy Jeff all scheduled to spin.

Saturdays are being commanded by the legendary Tribal Sessions, who’ll be throwing a mere 26 parties, with Miguel Campbell announced as resident along with regular appearances from Jozef K and Manu Gonzalez.
