I can't live without my radio!

After last year's album 'In Between', Paul van Dyk is back with a bang, with two special new projects. The German trance titan has re-launched his online radio station, VONYC.com, and a new digital wing to his Vandit Records empire.

VONYC.com has re-launched with a new radio partner - Swiss internet radio portal tillate.com - with the same dedication to quality dance music across the board, from trance to techno and beyond. VONYC Sessions will feature such legends as Van Dyk himself, Markus Schulz, Benny Bennassi, Jody Wisternoff, Chris Liebing and up-and-coming talent like Jon Rundell, Austin Leeds, Sied van Riel, Jon O'Bir and Tyler Michaud in the mix.
"It's about giving different people that represent different styles of electronic music the chance to be played and heard," explained PvD.

He's also launched brand new online record label Vandit Digital, which will operate as an internet wing of his Vandit Records empire.
"It was a strategic move to create a digital outlet of Vandit because there is so much music out there. And with the limited possibilities of getting the music out, we had to find a new way. With electronic music especially, it's often consumed digitally, from Beatport and all these other stores out there. So we decided to look at the actual possibilities of releasing it that way ourselves.
"We're putting out music we wouldn't otherwise be able to release," added Paul. "We'll still give it the full push, the big promotion. The only difference is that we don't actually press any physical records and CDs."
As with the physical version of Vandit, the Digital arm will represent the full spectrum of dance music with releases planned from a variety of artists.
"The only thing that makes us want to sign a record is if we like it," said Paul. "If you look at the records released on Vandit, they range from banging techno, to Italian house music, to what people call our typical trance sound.
"We're going to have something from Jon Rundell, we're going to release the album of John O'Bir. The only thing that matters is that it has to be high quality."

And as if these new ventures weren't enough, PvD has also found the time to re-work some tracks from 'In Between' for a forthcoming remix EP and mix the latest 'Cream Ibiza Sessions' album, due this summer.
"We're also planning on another edition of 'Vorsprung Dyk Technik', another compilation of a lot of the remixes I've done over the years," Paul told DJmag.
