MANCHESTER AND BRISTOL RED BULL CULTURE CLASH CREWS UNVEILED

Four crews from each city go head-to-head...

Having announced last month that Red Bull's Culture Clash would be touching down in Bristol and Manchester for the first time, Red Bull has unveiled the eight crews that will do battle this March.

Taking place at Bristol's Passenger Shed at Brunel's Old Station on Friday 4th March, Bristol's Red Bull Culture Clash will see four crews from across the entire gamut of Bristol's fertile bass music community do battle.

Confirmed to go head-to-head will be Butterz Sounds, Stylo G's Warning Sounds, DJ Die's Gutterfunk and Tectonic.

Manchester's chosen crews — who will do battle at the city's old Granada Studios on Thursday March 11th — also showcase the the sheer depth and breadth on offer in the city's bass community.

Set to do battle are A Guy Called Gerald presents Basstronic, Manchester collective LEVELZ, who specialise in grime, jungle and hip-hop, Manchester's Dub Smugglers, and a specially created supergroup, Made In Manchester, which consists of MC's from Manchester's of drum and bass and jungle scenes.

Trying to keep the crews in check will be MC Dynamite, who has been unveiled as the host for both cities. "I'm a product of clash culture," said MC Dynamite. "I grew up listening to Jaro Vs Travellers, Saxon vs Coxon, King Jammys vs....the list goes on. Manchester is a city I've performed in many times over the years, from the Lighthouse to the Warehouse project. It's an honour and a privilege to be involved in what will be one of the city's biggest events."

With its roots in Jamaican soundclash culture, Red Bull Culture Clash sees competing collectives go head-to-head over four rounds, utilising their biggest tunes, freshly cut dubs, special guests, performances and surprises to win over the crowd and walk away as champion.
