SKRILLEX OVERTAKES DAFT PUNK AS DANCE MUSIC ARTIST WITH MOST GRAMMY WINS

The EDM producer collected his eighth Grammy on Monday

Skrillex has overtaken Daft Punk as the dance music artist with the most Grammy wins.

The OWSLA founder was awarded his seventh and eight wins for Best Dance Recording and Best Dance/Electronic Album for his collaborations with Diplo as Jack Ü at Monday’s ceremony in LA.

The pair’s Justin Bieber-featuring single ‘Where Are Ü Now’ beat out The Chemical Brothers and Flying Lotus to take home the award for Best Dance Recording, while their debut ‘Skrillex and Diplo Present Jack Ü’ was named Best Dance/Electronic Album.

Daft Punk have won six Grammy awards, four of them for their 2014 single ‘Get Lucky’ and album ‘Random Access Memories’.
