WIN TIX! FLOSSTRADAMUS HDYFEST AT RED ROCKS

Red Rocks is about to get a whole lot hazier...

Chicago duo Flosstradamus lit (pun intended, trap fam) the world on fire when they released their remix of Major Lazer's 'Original Don' back in 2011. That remix arguably changed the course of modern trap music forever, and skyrocketed the Midwest duo into the international spotlight. While most global fans have only been aware of them since that fateful release, Curt Cameruci and Josh Young have been a duo for 10 freakin' years.

They got their start throwing a monthly in the Boys Town neighborhood of Chicago, packing the night with everyone from hip-hop heads to art-school hipsters who ate up every combination of electro, house, tech and R&B thrown at them. Even though rags like URB Magazine tapped them as hot talent as far back as 2006, it took multiple releases, tours and one significant remix before the world at large gave them a shot. It's a long time to try and make something work, and the journey didn't come without tribulations. "The closest we ever got to breaking up was when Curt and I were living together," says Josh. "We were touring non-stop, and then coming home to living in the same apartment, pretty much in the same room. It was brutal."

The duo survived, pressed on, and are now celebrating 10 years of everything Floss with a massive blowout at Colorado's Red Rocks on, you guessed it, 4/20. They'll be coming in tow with Snails, Valentino Khan and Chill Harris, delivering not only the ultimate HDY fan experience, but promises of surprises plus previews of new production and a stage setup that's been months in the making. It's a surreal moment for the two, and they note, "If you asked us 10 years ago where Floss would be today, we would've had no clue it would come this far."

No matter how bright their star continues to shine — or how high their lighters are held — Flosstradamus never forgets their roots (hello, they started a Lollapalooza set with the Chicago Bulls intro music!) and are ever loyal to the fans. To the people who have been there from the beginning, the duo has a special message: "Thank you! 10 years is a long time to stay committed to anything, let alone our little band, so from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for all your love and support!"

Because Flosstradamus (and DJ Mag!) love you, we're giving away a pair of tickets to HDYFEST! Simply email your full name to [email protected] with the title "HDYFEST." Contest closes at midnight, Eastern Standard Time, on Sunday, April 10. Good luck!
