Roy Davis Jr. has been diagnosed with MS (Multiple Sclerosis).

The Chicago-based artist, who has produced and performed under several different monikers and in multiple collectives including The Believers, Men From The Nile, Phuture and Umosia, broke the news to his fans via a Facebook post this morning.

"During the weekend, I received the news that I have been diagnosed with MS (Multiple Sclerosis) - An illness I have known people close to me who have suffered from but I never expected to find myself here, diagnosed myself. Something that is a very difficult thing to swallow after hearing," he said via the post.

All his shows in April have been cancelled or rescheduled as he undergoes treatment for the disease.

At the close of the post, Roy wrote: "I'll be back soon. I am planning to continue playing shows from May onwards just so long as my legs can walk me to the decks!"
