PBR STREETGANG'S TOM THORPE TO RUN MARATHON IN SUPPORT OF LAURA JONES

The DJ is running to support eye charity, Fight for Sight

DJ/producer Tom Thorpe, best known as one half of house duo PBR Streetgang, is set to run the Virgin London Marathon this Sunday 24th April.

What makes his run special, though, is that he'll be donating the money he's raised from running the 26.2 mile race to eye research charity, Fight for Sight — a caused inspired by fellow DJ Laura Jones who was diagnosed with a degenerative eye condition, Stargardt’s disease.

The condition currently affects Laura’s central sight and she has just 30% of her visual field remaining. On her eye condition, Laura has said: “Despite living with the condition for the past eight years – I have been fortunate enough to be able to continue to DJ. I’m incredibly lucky to have such supportive friends who are going the extra mile and I’m glad we are able to support the charity. Best of luck to Tom I will be supporting you every step of the way.”

There is currently no cure for the disease and you can help support ongoing research to help people like Laura by donating to Tom's run. Click here to donate

Tom has also whipped up a wicked new mix to get him through the last hour of the race, you can stream it below.
