Bowers & Wilkins Sound System returns to Primavera Festival Barcelona

Those guys at Bowers & Wilkins can’t get enough of the Primavera Festival, for the last few years the Bowers & Wilkins Sound System has taken pride of place at Barcelona’s amazing Primavera Festival and this year they are back at the newly created Beach Club at the Parc del Forum site. A perfect setting for this audio experience.

54 hours of amazing music will be pumped out of Bowers & Wilkins Sound System during the three days of the Primavera Festival, featuring a line up of some of the best electronic music talent on the planet! Each year the line up just gets bigger and better and 2016 will be one to beat in coming years that’s for sure.

The Floating Points DJ set will kick off the varied programme with a bang. A three-day marathon programme, with a total of 42 shows put on by Barcardí and Bowers & Wilkins Sound System on a stage that will, as usual have extraordinary sound quality thanks to the 4-way stack that will deliver an incredibly precise and dynamic sound, allowing the audience to experience the music without the loss of fidelity.

In addition to Floating Points, on Thursday 2nd June there will also be live shows by one of the great disco revivalists Todd Terje, and one of the most influential and versatile British DJs: Erol Alkan as well as Rory Phillips, Alkan’s partner in crime during those mythical nights at Trash in London. The night will be filled with dark sounds and techno, with live acts by Powell, Broken English Club, Klavikon and the Barcelona artist Pina, as well as sessions by Helena Hauff from Germany and top techno DJs of the moment such as Eduardo de la Calle, Raudive and Architectural. The sets by Jessy Lanza and Har Mar Superstar will wind up the first day of the programme on this stage.

The second day will be predominantly house music and disco with an impressive line-up in which the DJ sets by the German veteran Dj Koze, the Irish artist Mano Le Tough, who has enjoyed a meteoric rise over the last few months, the German artist on the Kompakt label Scharre and the British duo Simian Mobile Disco, as well as a Maceo Plex B2B Maars stand out. Live acts by Sophie and the French pioneer Black Devil Disco Club and the sessions by Dj Supermarkt (presenting “The Ladies of Too Slow to Disco”), the Catalan artist beGun, Daniel Kyo from Valencia and two of names that are indispensable for understanding contemporary disco music, Tiger & Woods and The Maghreban, will also be part of Friday 3rd June’s programme. The line-up will be completed by special sets by artists who are performing at this sixteenth edition or who are regulars at the festival, such as Deerhunter’s Bradford Cox and Black Lips.

On the third and final day there will be the now traditional showcase by the Hivern Discs label. The Barcelona company founded by John Talabot will bring live acts by Dorisburg and Cleveland, and Lena Willikens from Germany, the veteran DJ and producer from Holland I-F, Disco End and Daniel Baughman will be behind the decks. There will also be time for heavy weights from the contemporary electronic music scene such as Leon Vynehall, Dj Richard, Matthew Dear from Canada, Suzanne Kraft, Trevor Jackson and the American promoter and DJ Dave P
