STORMZY BACKS JEREMY CORBYN: ‘HE DEALS WITH THE REAL ISSUES’

But he says the rest of the House of Commons are a bunch of “neeky dons”...

Stormzy has revealed that he is a big fan of Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, who the Croydon-born MC says focuses on “real issues”.

Speaking about Corbyn in a new interview with The Guardian, Stormzy said, “I dig what he says. I saw some sick picture of him from back in the day when he was campaigning about anti-apartheid and I thought: yeah, I like your energy.

“Have you seen that footage of House of Commons? They’re all neeky dons! The way they all laugh and cheer. Is this fucking Game Of Thrones? You lot have got real issues to talk about and deal with.

“That’s why I like Jeremy: I feel like he gets what the ethnic minorities are going through and the homeless and the working class.”

Going on to speak about how he hopes the Labour leader can tackle the issue of affordable housing, the grime MC said, “Now that I’m at a certain financial situation, I’m able to buy a house. But how is my bredren from the ends ever gonna buy a house? It’s mad out here.”

Earlier this month Stormzy also warned his fans on Twitter not to vote for Zac Goldsmith, before the Tory candidate was defeated in the London Mayoral election. He went on to reinforce those views in his recent interview, branding him an “a******e”.

Stormzy featured in our Best Tunes Of 2015 at the end of last year, after bossing Outlook Festival in August, the event he has been lined up to headline later this year.

He also returned with ‘Scary’ last month, which is produced by Sir Spyro. You can watch the video for that below.
