AMNESIA FORCED TO CLOSE EARLY AMID TIGHTER RESTRICTIONS

Apologises for late change of schedule...

Amnesia has announced that it will no longer be opening past 6am due to tighter restrictions placed on them by the local Ibizan government.

“Through the constant pressures by the institutions of the island, restricting the club's schedule to promote other interests and having accepted and paid all the fines that have been imposed on us and deny one more time the exceptionality of a morning schedule for the Opening,” explained the club in the statement via its website.

Amnesia's opening party would usually carry on until around 9am, but this year the club has finally agreed to close at 6am and will begin at 4pm, meaning just 14 hours of music.

The club defiantly said it hadn’t given up on after hours parties at the club, “we will fight that the magic continues in Ibiza and avoid that the music stops.”

But as Ibiza changes and begins to attract more of a VIP crowd changes like this are becoming more and more inevitable.

The club has also apologised for the constant schedule changes which meant clubbers who booked before the new opening date was announced have missed out, “Finally, we apologize for the constant changes of schedule, due to external causes that we have wanted to avoid the most important event of the summer has affected many of you personally.”

Set to play the opening party on Saturday 28th May are Apollonia, Cuartero, Hector, Mar-T, Pan-Pot, Ricardo Villalobos, Amine Edge & DANCE, Claptone, Disciples, Fritz Kalkbrenner and Hannah Wants.
