POPULAR LONDON VENUE THE SILVER BULLET FACES CLOSURE

Much-loved London venue The Silver Bullet is facing closure after the venue was given just three weeks notice of the sale of the venue's lease to Goodman Restaurants (owners of the Burger & Lobster chain).
The independent venue is located just outside Finnsbury Park station, and is another casualty of London’s increasingly tough property market.
With such a short notice period, the venue’s staff are hoping to negotiate a grace period so they can begin to raise the necessary funds to buy the lease.
The Silver Bullet's Anna Naylor said about the news: ‘We really need people to get behind our campaign and believe that the smallest act can make a huge difference."
During its 6 year tenure, the venue has hosted over 2,000 live music events whilst providing a platform for up-and-coming musicians, quickly becoming an important part of the community.
The venue has played host to some big industry names, too, including John Newman, Rudimental, Laura Marling, Lords of the Underground, Congo Natty, DJ Derek & Don Letts.
”The British music industry is worth £3.8bn. All that money starts when somebody takes their first step onto a grassroots venue stage." says Mark Davyd from Music Venue Trust.
The staff and community around The Silver Bullet are urging the public to get behind their campaign by signing the 38 Degrees Petition and / or donating to the crowd funder site to enable them to buy back the iconic venue.
