OLD GRANADA STUDIOS TO HOST OTHER SIDE OF MIDNIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION

Capturing club culture across six decades...

Off the back of the hugely successful Lost In Music exhibition in London, Print Space in collaboration with Old Granada Studio will be hosting an exhibition of photographs spanning six decades that captures the evolution of club culture.

From the unsung pioneers in underground clubs, to the stadium-filling superstars, the exhibition is billed as a "story of creativity, vision, imagination and having the time of your life to the beat of the century."

The exhibition  which has been curated by internationally renowned, ex-Haçienda resident DJ Paulette and iconic lensman and music entrepreneur Gary McLarnan (Sparklestreet)  will showcase a never-before-seen collection of photography from some of the UK’s most notorious club photographers and musicians.

Showcasing their work will be Kevin Cummins (Joy Division, The Happy Mondays, Madchester, The Hacienda and Madonna), Peter Walsh (Sasha, Moby, David Morales & Graeme Park, Mike Pickering and Frankie Knuckles), Grant Fleming (who created Primal Scream’s ‘Screamadelica’ sleeve photography), Graham Massey (808 State) and A Guy Called Gerald.

Taking the lead from the success of Lost In Music, the exhibition will not only feature images from recognised photographers  but it will also show photographs from the moments that only the performers or their fans encountered during the last 6 decades..

Old Granada Studios will be calling for public submissions from anyone that, whilst immersed in the moment, snapped a shot from behind the decks, from the stage, on the dancefloor or in the crowd that captured the magic as it happened.

The exhibition will run for ten days in collaboration with the Parklife and Stone Roses events in Manchester.

OTHER SIDE OF MIDNIGHT will take place at the Old Granada Studios from 10th-20th June, 2016.
