LISTEN TO ANDRÉ HOMMEN'S NEW CUT 'BASSARI PEOPLE'

The man from Düsseldorf has done it again. André Hommen’s ‘Bassari People’ EP drops today on Dennis Ferrer’s Objektivity imprint, and it’s sure to cause a stir on the global dancefloor. We’re pleased to premiere its title track, a unique bundle of groovy goodness inspired by the Bassari tribe, a small group of people from Senegal. Andre stumbled across the tribe in a series of YouTube videos, and thus the record concept was born. ‘Bassari People’ is getting support from the right people: Solomun, Dixon, Tensnake, Marcus Worgull, Mano Le Tough, Dennis Ferrer and  Anja Schneider among them..

We named André Hommen to our ‘20 DJs To Watch In 2016’ list at the end of last year and with this latest release, he’s living up to the accolade. After bursting on to the scene in a big way with his ‘Battery Park’ EP in 2015, he continues to tour extensively. From clinching a residency at Pacha Barcelona, to his upcoming debut in Beirut in July followed by a South American tour, André's gone global – you’re practically guaranteed to either see or hear him on a floor sometime this summer.
