Creamfields DJ Competition!

Win a set at Creamfields and more!

We're getting closer to the big one. On 23rd – 24th August bank holiday weekend, Daresbury, Halton, in Cheshire is transformed into the mother of all dance music festivals - Creamfields. And for their 10th anniversary, the spectacular music event has swollen in size into a two-day party, with a line-up that beggars belief!

Saturday 23rd August boasts everyone from Fatboy Slim, showcasing cuts from his brand new album, and a smattering of classics to get us in the festival mood, to unpredictable electro upstarts Simian Mobile Disco. Riot disco types The Gossip, Beth Ditto's funky femme punkers, and Aussie drum & bass rockers Pendulum, whose new record 'In Silico' is going supernova, are also dropping in.

And on the DJ front, everyone from Ali Shirazinia's techno incarnation Dubfire to trance avatar Paul van Dyk are touching down. They'll be joined by Sasha, Eric Prydz, Hernan Cattaneo, James Zabiela, Danny Howells, Claude VonStroke, Felix da Housecat, Tom Novy, Erick Morillo, Adam Beyer, Annie Mac, Boy 8-Bit, Andy C, Marky, Hype, Tidy Boys and tons more.

On the Sunday, we'll be spoilt rotten by disco funk dukes Chic, featuring founder Nile Rodgers (see feature elsewhere in Upfront), and New York groovers Hercules and Love Affair, swaggering lad rockers Kasabian, the unbelievable Underworld and Melbourne's brilliant Cut Copy.
DJs include John Digweed, Sander Kleinenberg, Deadmau5, Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso, Axwell, Tiesto, Paul Oakenfold, Ferry Corsten, Eddie Halliwell, Sander van Doorn, Dirty South, David Guetta, Dave Clarke, Switch, Green Velvet - and that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Phew!
You know you need to reach. Tickets are available from www.creamfields.com, priced at £115 & booking fee and including camping.

Bag your slot on the MySpace Bus

We've teamed with MySpace for an amazing competition at this year's Creamfields. One lucky winner will get the chance to DJ on the MySpace Bus - and bag VIP access for their mates.

The rockin' Routemaster has played host to Pete Tong, Digitalism, Kissy Sell Out, Crystal Castles, Soulwax, Evil Nine, The Black Ghosts and many more. Guests this time out remain a closely guarded secret, but suffice to say they'll be top drawer! Go to myspace.com/liveintheuk for further info.

We want you to put together a wicked 30-minute electro mix - the kind that would fit with the rest of the artists mentioned - and if it knocks DJmag's socks off, you'll be kicking out the jams alongside the best in the business.

The winner will also be treated to two hospitality tickets for the event, which includes complimentary food on Saturday and Sunday, fastrack entry, VIP car parking, nice toilets, VIP area access, and a stay over in the onsite Yurt Hotel - think the canvas equivalent to the Mandarin Oriental!

Send your mix (including tracklisting), along with full name, postal address and phone number to: Creamfields MySpace Comp, DJmag, Truman Brewery, 91 Brick Lane, London, E1 6QL. The best mix wins, and the winner will be announced next issue. Closing date is 29th July.
