 The DJ Mag family expands further

We are delighted to announce that DJ Mag Japan is the latest member of the international family.

DJ Mag Japan, which is live now at djmag.jp, has launched at a key moment for the nation's nightlife scene.  For the last sixty years, club promoters have had to work out around outdated and surprising rules that prohibited dancing at night. The legislation, which stretches back to World War 2, was largely unenforced, however its abolition has galvanized the Japanese club scene.

EDM in is on the rise domestically which has brought new music and sounds to a resurgent club and festival network across the country.   

DJs including Nervo, Dyro, Dannic, DVBSS and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Steve Aoki are all regular visitors, while international events such as Ultra Japan are showcasing the world's biggest artists to thousands of excited Japanese clubbers. It’s not just EDM either, Japan has a well developed underground techno scene that has continued to thrive.

DJ Mag Japan aims to bring 100 % contemporary international dance music information in Japanese and English language, providing a unique voice and channel  between Japanese dance music culture and the international dance music community.

Since inception, they've featured original artist interviews with Dannic, Thomas Newson, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, DVBBS and Darren Emerson as well as event reports domestically in Japan and international in Ibiza and London. You can check this out on their website - djmag.jp

DJ Mag is now in over 17 different countries and is translated into ten languages each month. DJ Mag Japan aim to showcase the Japanese market through producing a member system - a network platform for artist promotion both domestically and internationally. They also plan to launch an online DJ school, work with brands to create exciting content, launch a merchandise range and sell club and festival tickets.
