The video game features an exclusive track called ‘Saved’…

Deadmau5 has teamed up with Absolut Labs to make a virtual reality video game called Absolut Deadmau5, which will be available via iOS and Android on Wednesday 27th July.

The mau5trap head is the star of the VR game, as players guide him through his hometown of Toronto, meet his cat Professor Meowingtons, attempt to get to a show and watch him perform in front of scores of fans, all with Grand Theft Auto style gameplay.

Absolut Labs is the digital media brand of the vodka company, Absolut, who have also designed a limited edition virtual reality Deadmau5 Google headset to complete the experience.

Afdhel Aziz, head of Absolut Labs, told Adweek, “Every brand needs to start thinking about how to create experiences, whether they are digital experiences or physical experiences that are really either delightful or useful.”

You can watch a teaser of Absolut Deadmau5 below, and pre-order the Absolut Deadmau5 headset here.
