AMNESIA IBIZA SEARCHED BY POLICE FOR SECOND DAY

Amnesia Ibiza was raided by armed police yesterday (July 5), and it has now been reported that they have returned to the venue to continue their investigation for a second day.
The raid was originally said to be related to an anti-drugs operation, as well as being tax related, but Diario De Ibiza reports that it is focusing on “alleged crimes against the Treasury”.
Yesterday’s investigation lasted for 17 hours, and saw Amnesia Ibiza owner Martin Ferrer arrested, alongside his son and artistic director Marti Ferrer, general manager David de Felipe and accountant Vicente Pérez de Montis.
Properties belonging to the suspects in both Ibiza and Barcelona are also reported to have been searched, as well as bank security boxes and an IT company based on the White Isle that works with Amnesia Ibiza.
There was some confusion around whether last night’s Together party at the venue, with Chase & Status, Giggs, Chris Lorenzo and many more, would go ahead. The promoter originally tweeted yesterday afternoon to say that the event was cancelled “due to circumstances out of our control”. A matter of minutes later, they replaced that tweet with another that read, “STOP PRESS: All systems go! We are now opening at midnight!”
There is still no official statement from Amnesia Ibiza on the investigation, with the venue only posting a brief statement on Together through their website yesterday. Reports suggest tonight’s HYTE event is going ahead as planned.
