Chaim, the Tel Aviv-born, New York-based artist that burst from the same scene as Guy Gerber, Gel Abril, Shlomi Aber and Guy J, hits Los Angeles-based imprint Culprit this Friday (15th July) with four-track EP ‘Nineties’, and we’ve got the exclusive premiere of the Red Axes remix of the title track from it below.
Chaim’s fellow Israelis are currently on a run of huge releases through the likes of Crosstown Rebels, Hivern Discs and Permanent Vacation, which have all cemented demand for Red Axes’ tech-disco sound. Their slow-burn remix of the title track is armed with wallowing pads, skittish percussion and an off-kilter leftfield charm.
Chaim first made his mark through a number of EPs on BPitch Control, before going on to see releases from the likes of Guy Gerber’s Supplement Facts label, Visionquest and Rumors.
