NIGERIA’S DJ OBI BREAKS LONGEST DJ SET RECORD BY SPINNING FOR 10 DAYS

New record sits at 230 hours...

A DJ from Nigeria who goes by the name of DJ Obi has smashed the current world record for the longest DJ set which now stands at 230 hours, or 10 days.

The former record holder DJ Norberto Loco from Dublin, Ireland, had previously held the record spinning for 200 hours back in June 2015, with many believing his record would stand the test of time.

DJ Obi was allowed a two-hour break every 24 hours to eat, sleep and relieve himself  though it sounds like he really struggled with the sleep deprivation.

“I woke up hallucinating after 4 or 5 days and had lost full control of my body,” explained DJ Obi after the completing the world record attempt. “I used the loss of my father as an inspiration, constantly thinking to myself that my Dad was watching me and would be disappointed if I failed.

DJ Obi we salute you.
