DEFECTED READIES ARMAND VAN HELDEN RETROSPECTIVE COMPILATION

Armand Van Helden has been chosen as the next artist to be profiled for Defected Records’ 'House Masters' compilation.

The compilation gathers together 26 years worth of music from the legendary DJ and producer, from classics like ‘Witch Doktor’ to more modern-sounding anthems, including his work with A-Trak as Duck Sauce.

The compilation also features a host of collaborations including Van Helden's work with Thomas Bangalter as Da Mongoloids, as well as his other aliases including his Banji Boys productions.

Speaking about the compilation, Defected's founder Simon Dunmore said: "It's a real privilege for us to promote music from back in the day and all the great records Armand Van Helden has made, to a new audience and to the older audience, because sometimes they need to be reminded of how great those records are."

Van Helden’s 'House Masters' compilation follows hot on the heels of Frankie Knuckles, MK, Masters At Work, and Todd Terry who have been featured on the retrospective series from Defected Records.

House Master: Armand Van Helden will be released Friday 2nd September.
