CLASSIC ALBUM SUNDAYS MARKS 15 YEARS OF DAFT PUNK’S ‘DISCOVERY’ WITH WORLDWIDE LISTENING PARTIES

Events will take place in London, New York, Oslo, Los Angeles, Chicago and Miami...

Daft Punk’s ‘Discovery’ turned 15-years-old in February, and to mark the occasion Classic Album Sundays has announced six listening sessions to hear the album on world class audiophile sound systems.

The first event takes place this Sunday 7th August at Brilliant Corners in Dalston, London, before going on to make stops in New York, Oslo, Los Angeles, Chicago, and ending at Miami’s Sweat Records on Sunday 21st August.

‘Discovery’ was Daft Punk’s second studio album and marked a change in sound from their debut, ‘Homework’, which Thomas Bangalter explained as a way of “saying to the electronic kids, ‘Rock is cool, you know? You can like that.'”

The album also featured many of Daft Punk’s influencers including Todd Edwards, DJ Sneak and Romanthony, all of whom had been asked to appear on the first Daft Punk album, but wouldn’t commit as the French duo weren’t known enough at the time.
