Matter Launch Revealed

The futuristic Fabric run Matter reveals bold launch plans

It's been a funny year for London clubland has '08 what with The Cross laid waste to rubble, The Key gone with it and Turnmills lost to office blocks. If ever London clubland was crying out for a bold new venue launch it was now and that's exactly what we've got in the form of Matter.

Housed in London's 02, conceived by the people behind Fabric and promising to redefine the technological boundaries of London clubbing circa '08, Matter will be a three floor, 2,600 capacity venue that comes equipped with more space-age kit than the Starship Enterprise. Taking Fabric's Body Sonic dancefloor to new levels, the advanced Body Kinetic dancefloor will literally pump the sound into every raver's body whilst 360 degree visuals, a tile clad exterior of ever-morphing LED lighting tiles and moving LCD images creating the most advanced audio/visual clubbing presentation in London.

Musically things are looking pretty damn rosy too. As part of Matter's drive to integrate solid live programming into the heart of its ethos, the Live launch throws open the venue's curtain on Friday 19th September with a rare live show from James Lavelle and Pablo Clements aka U.N.K.L.E. supported by the infectious melodies and electronic assault of Late Of The Pier and buzz makers Iglu & Hartley. The next day's club launch is no less breath-baiting with enduring techno titan Carl Cox, nu-rave icon Kissy Sell Out, Circus leader Yousef and more to be announced.

Within six weeks of opening, Matter will have played host to Sasha courtesy of Renaissance's party 27th September, man-of-moment Deadmau5 who beds his Mau5trap brand in on Friday 2nd September as well as John Digweed who has chosen to celebrate Bedrock's 10th birthday there.
