USHUAïA AND PACHA IBIZA RAIDED BY SPANISH POLICE

Ibiza nightclubs Ushuaïa and Pacha are reported to have been raided by Spanish police this morning (15th September), as part of Operation Chopin, which is targeting alleged tax fraud.
Spanish police and tax officials entered Pacha at around 6:30am, whilst Ushuaïa was hit at roughly 8am, according to Spanish newspaper El Mundo.
The Ibiza offices of Grupo Empresas Matutes (GEM) are also said to have been raided. They are the parent company of Palladium Hotel Group, which oversees Ushuaïa. GEM representatives are reported to have acknowledged the raids on their offices and Ushuaïa, whilst Diario De Ibiza says nobody there will be making a statement yet.
Operation Chopin has hit 87 venues so far; raids that include armed police officers entering Amnesia Ibiza in July, where the club’s owner was arrested, before Spanish authorities widened the investigation to Space and Privilege later in the same week.
