Armin van Buuren has compiled a 70 track playlist on Spotify, titled ‘Who’s Afraid Of 138?!’, which is billed as a “playlist for die-hard trance fans”.
Featuring music by Cold Rush, Simon Patterson, Bryan Kearney, Chris Schweizer and many more, van Buuren’s latest playlist features over four hours of material. You can listen to it in full below.
Armin’s ‘Who’s Afraid Of 138?!’ Spotify playlist lands at the same time as news of a one-off project with Amsterdam’s Van Gogh Museum, which launches on Friday 21st October.
Titled Embrace Vincent, it allows visitors to discover van Buuren’s fascination with van Gogh, as he provides a personal commentary on 11 works drawn from the museum’s permanent collection.
Speaking about the collaboration, Axel Rüger, director of the Van Gogh Museum said, ‘This collaboration sees us bring music, art and the museum together. Each form of expression influences the other; culture works as a unifying force.
“The Embrace Vincent project allows us to highlight how Vincent’s legacy remains relevant. And more importantly, that this legacy is being passed down to future generations. This takes numerous different forms, as is aptly illustrated by this collaboration between the museum and Armin van Buuren.”
Earlier this year the five-time winner of our annual Top 100 DJs poll also shared the video of a vinyl-only set recorded as part of his Embrace world tour. That was before he was announced to play at this year’s Top 100 DJs party in London.
