James Murphy and Co. Go Disco at Matter

This Is Not London is already becoming one of London's most exciting new club nights. 3rd October was the launch night with Simian Mobile Disco amassing a packed full house. This Friday will feature Armand Van Helden followed by Hot Chip next Friday playing for Moshi Moshi Records' 10th Birthday.

The DFA Records gang will shake London on the 24th October with founder James Murphy and fellow LCD Soundsystem member Pat Mahoney.

Murphy has revolutionized dance music with his touch of disco and punk which continues to inspire a whole new generation of dance-punks. LCD Soundsystem's 'Sound of Silver' was (are you ready for this?) nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Electronic/Dance Album, named album of the year by The Guardian, declared by Pitchfork as the second best album of the year, and both Entertainment Weekly and Rolling Stone both ranked it seventh best album of 2007. Entertainment Weekly even said it was one of the top 50 albums in the last 25 years. Time Magazine dubbed 'All my Friends' the fourth best song of 2007.

This Special Disco Version party will also feature Juan McLean (DJ set with Live Acid Performance) Gavin Russom, Planningtorock (LIVE) Yatcht (LIVE), Morgan Geist, Optimo, Horsemeat Disco, Still Going, Mock N Toof , Babytalk, Gucci Soundsystem.

Tickets are available through Matter's website for £17.50 www.matterlondon.com.
