Accompanied with artwork by Fergadelic and a 10 minute film by David Bailey Ross, Eine Kleine Nacht Musik was a huge tribute to the experimental music scene Krautrock, and a fused flash of the past with an exciting vision of the future.
Smithson, with the help of Future Cinema, has now developed his project by bringing the music to life through the creation of a full on cinematic show piece. In an event involving the years hottest acts and next years up and comers, Modular Records will open the doors to Nevereverland on November 15 for a live extravaganza that can boast such acts as The Presets, Ladyhawke, Shy Child, Thecockandbullkid, Fred Falke, Van She & Van She Tech, Aeroplane, plus many more.
The collaboration will see room 3 of London's Coronet Theatre transformed into a pioneering experience, while Smithson adds the music with an exclusive DJ set, and some help from friends Zongamin Soundsystem and Rory Phillips. Inspiration for the room will be taken from the 10 minute short film 'Phantom' that accompanied the album release earlier this year.
Expect to enter an unusual moonscape world, where the ambience of the record is reflected in the audio and visual stir that this one-off journey into the world of Eine Kleine Nacht Musik provides.
