Need 2 Soul At the End

The last spectacular in WC1

Masters of deep house, disco and funk Need 2 Soul return to The End for a final fling, before the legendary London venue closes in January. This Saturday 13th December, they touch down the funky mothership, packed to the gills with top talent.

Typically for the pioneering Need 2 Soul team, they've assembled a dream line-up of the greatest DJs and the most promising upcoming spinners to shake up the joint.

Headlining is colossus of NYC house music Joe 'Jaoquin' Claussell: one of the most prominent figures in U.S. dance music owing to his world-beating Body & SOUL club nights, and Spiritual Life record label, to say nothing of his own seminal productions. Deep Latin epic 'Escravos De Jo' (a collaboration with Kerri Chandler) still ignites dancefloors to this day, such is its affirmed classic status. As a DJ, Claussell is known for his odysseys through all areas of funky music, from house to disco, funk to rock, jazz to Latin grooves. Rest assured, whatever he plays is set to drive the club bananas.

Also starring will be Jerome Sydenham, founder of Ibadan Records and a house hero with over 20 years spent behind the wheels of steel, and Detroit's next generation of musical maestros, Keith Worthy and Patrice Scott. With plaudits flying in for this pair from Moodymann, Carl Craig and Jeff Mills, they're a potent force indeed.

To cap it all, disco funk maverick Maurice Fulton, a hugely influential production force credited by many for kickstarting the disco revival will be laying it down, fresh from production and remixes for the likes of Kathy Diamond and Hot Chip. You know you need to reach! The night runs from 10pm-7am, make sure you make it down. Further details from www.endclub.com.
