Yello Fever!

Two-day dance festival comes to Belfast

Acclaimed Belfast club night Yello are stepping up their game, bringing a dance festival to the streets of the Northern Irish city for the first time ever.

Yellophonic, which runs on 2nd & 3rd May bank holiday weekend, will deliver some of the hottest DJs from across the house spectrum to two of Belfast's best venues.

Saturday 2nd May sees Yellophonic commandeer cathedral quarter club Mynt, bringing together Freerange boss and deep house connoisseur Jimpster and progressive tech clinician Paolo Mojo for an aural feast of electronic finery. Both DJs have smashed the venue in the past, and they're back for unfinished business: a guaranteed ram-jam affair.

Sunday 3rd May, meanwhile, is the pick of the pair, featuring Groove Armada, Tom Middleton, Funkagenda, Scope and the Yello residents bringing the beats to St. George's Market for a massive warehouse party. Yello promoter and festival organiser Aaron Eakin is stoked with excitement and the prospect of bringing an electronic event to the city on this unprecedented scale.

"We are absolutely buzzing with excitement about the prospect of our mini-festival. The city has an undeniably rich and profound musical heritage and hosts regular world-class music events, however we felt the time was right to try something a bit different for Belfast; a festival in the heart of the city whereby the focus was placed solely on music of an electronic nature."

Tickets for the Mynt event on 2nd May are priced at £5 before midnight and £10 after (tickets on door), while tickets for the warehouse party on 3rd May are priced at £25 + BF from ticketmaster.ie, BUT you can win a pair of tickets for the Sunday event.
