Wham, bam, thank you, Slam!

Techno types Slam invite producers to remix their tracks

Glaswegian techno dons Slam, the creative force behind the classic 'Positive Education', are asking producers to remix the a-sides of the first four releases on their Paragraph label.

After fourth single 'Variance' drops on Beatport on 2nd November, the parts will be posted on soma.com/paragraph, alongside those for 'City Destroyer (Part 1)', 'Hot Knives' and 'One Note Samba'.

“The idea was inspired by reel-to-reel disco re-edits,” explains Orde Meikle, one half of the production duo, “when people used to make different versions of tracks for club-play.

“In this day and age of instantly available music, we think it would be cool to give people the choice to remix and re-edit our tracks,” adds partner Stuart McMillan. “It's also a way for new producers to get an insight into how we make our music, which will hopefully inspire them to create something new and exciting.”
