Dam-Funk Touching Down on UK and Ireland

Three Festival Appearance + One Club Show

Bringing his Prince-inspired electro-funk that sounds like it came from the version of 2015 presented in Back to the Future II, Dam-Funk will be bringing the boogie to the UK and Ireland four whole times over the course of the coming months. Even if you’ve caught him live before, expect a fuller, fattened-out sound now that he’s backed by his buddies Computer J and J-1, coming together like Voltron to form Master Blazter.

Expect tracks from his Stones Throw debut album Toeachizown, as well as new material he’s done with the Blazter, performed with his vintage synths and drum machines. Additionally, rumour has it that Dam-Funk has taken to playing the keytar while fronting the group, which will surely yield unending explosions of awesomeness.

First he’ll hit the Field Day Festival on 31st July, appearing on the Bloggers Delight Stage, which also houses acts such as Mount Kimbie and Pantha Du Prince. Also appearing at the festival are Caribou, Phoenix, Atlas Sound, Toro Y Moi, and Joker & MC Nomad.

Next up is a spot on the bill for the Big Chill Festival on the Paradiso stage on 8th July. The fest will be headlined by M.I.A., Thom Yorke and Lily Allen.

On 4th September, they’ll be loading all the funk up in a truck and hauling it to London and perform their only club show of the journey at Koko, for their Soundcrash night. Providing support will be Tokimonsta, Dimlite and Paul White.

Finally, Dam-Funk and Master Blazter will be performing on 5th September at the Electric Picnic Music and & Arts Festival in Stradbally, Ireland, supporting a bill that includes Roxy Music, LCD Soundsystem, Massive Attack and Public Image Limited.
