First acts for Reworks Fest anounced

Bill includes Sven Väth

Those electronic music fans who are more interested in using music to stimulate their brain rather than to move their ass might find themselves drawn to the Reworks Festival in Thessaloniki, Greece, like a moth to a very intellectually stimulating flame. They’ve just announced the first acts for the bill, and it’s looking to be quite the avant-garde to-do.

First, they’ve got techno legend Sven Väth making his triumphant return to the fest, as well as German group on the rise Moderat. Fattening out the bill is Warp Records’ Autechre, one of the longest-lasting and most beloved acts in experimental electronic music today.

In addition to the music, there will be an exhibition charting the evolution of Grecian electronic music. The festival takes place in Thesaloniki, Greece, which is near Mount Olympus, where the gods used to hang about, so you might see Zues while you’re there. If you do, tell him we said hi.

Early bird two-day passes are a mere fifty euros. Interested? For more info, check out the Reworks site.
