Let's Mix announces Premium Service

Plus two killer comps

We are generally very positive in our opinions regarding free stuff. Part of the whole writing about music thing is that you get loads of free CDs, cases of Red Bull, iguanas, etc. But nobody has ever sent us a free DJ set at the Ministry of Sound, and so we are fairly jealous of the two killer competitions that just landed in our inbox courtesy of the good people over at Let’s Mix.

For the first one, Let’s Mix has teamed with South West Four to create a competition thingamejig where if you upload your 25-40 minute mix of deep/tech house featuring at least one track from a headlining act, get fifty votes for it, then have it chosen by the SW4 judges, you’ll be spinning at Ministry in no time! You’ve basically already won (although you haven't basically actually won)!

Here’s exactly what the winner gets – one DJ set at Ministry of Sound on Sunday 29th August, performing alongside MANDY and Layo & Bushwacka, two VIP passes for the entire SW4 fest, two VIP tickets to the official after party on Saturday, and one goody bag with oodles of CDs in it.

For more information, check the challenge’s official site.

The second deal is with Let's Mix's recently launched premium service, which allows DJs to upload their mixes at high quality and share them with whomever they wish, plus a rash of other nice things, such as unlimited storage, the ability to know exactly who's listening to their mixes, unlimited customer support, and... exclusive contests! Since this service just launched last week, there are pretty nice odds that you could win one of these, and boy howdy are the prizes worth it! The creator of the first winning mix receives a personalized ad campaign in the pages of DJmag! See the full details of the comp here.

Competition will be stiff, but we’ve got faith in you and your mixing abilities. Good luck!
