It's a bold move to open your new club at the stroke of midnight on New Year's Eve but then Jim Warboy, the creative promoter and DJ behind legendary London clubs Caligula, All You Can Eat and Kash Point isn't short on guts.

With accolades such as 'the London answer to Studio 54' from MTV and 'club of a generation' from i-D Magazine attached to his name, SOS launches with a similarly hip - but not hipster - line-up and look.

With the main room playing 'Vintage, Chicago, Acid, Tech,  Futuristic' and a second room of 'EBM, New Beat, Industrial, and Dark-NRG' Warboy has recruited a mix of ten established and futures stars including disco deviant Andy Blake, who ran cult vinyl label Dissident, Kris Di Angelis, the official DJ for London Fashion Week whose party-fueled set have taken him everywhere from Fabric to Space, Matthew Stone, headof the !WOWOW! art collective, ex-resident at legendary club Boombox (it's got it's own book don't you know) and DJ for all designer Gareth Pugh's shows, and DJmag's very own Joe Roberts.

"SOS is the answer to its own call," says Warboy promising a definite policy of no Auld Lang Syne and free drinks for party goers in the cue when Big Ben chimes. "It's time London woke up and realised its unique qualities before it's too late. I want to make this the most exciting thing I've done in London so far by working with other optimistic creatives."

With a 10am finish, and £7 early-bird entry, you can be sure that it's East End location will be the final destination of London's true party heads.
