Well Rounded come to London

Brighton label play Basing House on Friday 24th June

Well Rounded – the Brighton based label – has thus far proved exactly that. Arriving in the midst of the UK house explosion, their sound is certainly influenced by funky, but also takes in elements of garage, techno, r&b and broken beat for a truly British slant on ‘owse music.

This Friday 24th June at Basing House, Shoreditch, they touch down for the beginning of a series of London dates which kicks off with the might Deadboy – yep, he of ‘If U Want’, ‘Fireworks’ and ‘Wish U Were Here’ fame – alongside Gongon & Bad Autopsy, whose ‘Mag’ from the Well Rounded released ‘Cash Antics Vol. 2’ has been on constant rotation again on our stereo recently, the superbly monikered West Norwood Cassette Library, whose production combine scratchy soul with a modern mind-set, plus label boss Donga, Unlikely (Davey Jones Records) and Naive Machine.

Donga put together this promo mix for a taster of what to expect and we’ve posted some of our favourite tracks from the above producers after the jump...
