Monumental line-up unites all flavours of d&b at Fabric

DJ Hype’s Playaz night blasts back into London’s Fabric this Friday 26th August with a monumental Carnival Special line-up that unites the many soundsystem flavours of drum & bass, jungle and dubstep across the three rooms.

Hype heads the bill with a two-hour set in Room One, with able support from fellow Playaz Pascal, Taxman and Hazard, representing on the raw, rolling dancefloor tip, while Shogun Audio boss Friction steps up to deliver his versatile take on d&b, alongside fellow heavyweights Blame, Original Sin and IC3.

Room Two tunnels deeper, with Metalheadz alumni Goldie, Commix, Jubei and Total Science joined by the brilliant Alix Perez, Blockhe4d and Crystal Clear, all offering a techier, more breakbeat-centric approach to the speaker-stack smackin’ sounds of deebee.

But it’s Room Three that’s the curveball, with a special appearance from original junglist champion Kenny Ken alongside MC stalwarts The Ragga Twins, an acid house/early hardcore set 1989 set from the legend that is Fabio, bassline house behemoth DJ Q mixing and blending, and Dub Police dubsteppers The Others all joining the party.

To say it’s big is an understatement; in fact, it’s the only way to start your Bank Holiday weekend shenanigans.

Tickets are £15 advance, £16 on the door, while it’s £20 for an advance ticket + CD, £10 students/Fabric First, £7 after 3am.
