First and second batch of Snowbombing 2012 artists confirmed
As they say, luck comes in threes; for De La Soul it’s the magic number and Motown's The Commodores were three times a lady... so it’s only natural for Snowbombing 2012 (9th-14th April, Mayrhofen, Austria), the only festival on ice worth its salt in our eyes, to release its line up for its three stages this year. Each week for the next (you guessed it) three weeks, news of the 30 artists will be released – each batch, they declare, will be bigger and better than the last.
Last week, they announced Example, Groove Armada, Wretch 32, DJ Yoda, Mr Scruff, James Zabiela, Heidi, Aeroplane, Jack Beats, Soul Clap, Toddla T, Pearson Sound, Jackmaster, Doctor P, Alex Metric, Julio Bashmore to play alongside the Hospitality crew (High Contrast, London Elektricity, Netsky, Nu:Tone, Camo & Krooked) and Metro Area, Style of Eye, Stanton Warriors, A1 Bassline, Hot Lunch (Ewan Pearson & Sasse), Marcus Nasty, Redinho and Spencer.
And this week, DJ Shadow, The Vaccines, Labrinth, Skream, Sub Focus, Knife Party, Shy FX, Mistajam, Jaguar Skills, Breakage, Rustie, The Whip, Friction, Ben Westbeech, Artwork, Roska, Midland, The Glimmers, Loadstar, Ralph Lawson, Blawan, Plump DJs, Oneman, Jaymo & Andy George, Dub Pistols’ Soundsystem featuring Rodney P, Martelo, Tayo, George Fitzgerald, Rattus Rattus & Klose One Ft Illaman.
