The Year of Visionquest

Win a copy of 'Fabric 61'

It’s been a thrilling year for Visionquest, both the label and the Detroit DJ and production foursome of Seth Troxler, Lee Curtiss, Ryan Crosson and Shaun Reeves. With a jam-packed showcase party in Miami introducing the world to acts such as Footprintz, hits aplenty have rolled forth from their coffers, from Benoit & Sergio’s (anti) K sing-a-long anthem ‘Walk & Talk’ to Maceo Plex’s blast of summer dancefloor fun, ‘Falling’.

The cherry on the cake is ‘Fabric 61’ which we have three copies of to give away. As might be expected from an outfit that prides itself on having wide reaching musical tastes, this is no linear trip.

There is plenty of house and techno action, from Carl Craig’s string laden re-touch of Catz 'N Dogz to the space bass of DVS1’s ‘Polyphonic Love’.  But it’s their touch for a poppy vocal that always serves to contrast any darkness, from My Favorite Robot’s ‘Forest Fires’ (another Visionquest release) to DC10 anthem Franco Cinelli’s remix of Cassius’ ‘The Sound of Violence’, with the ironically perfect Wildcookie’s ‘Song With No Ending’ finishing the mix off.

For your chance to win one of three copies of the compilation email [email protected] with your full name, contact telephone number, address and the correct answer to the following question:

Where does the name Visionquest come from?

a) a popular opticians that sells two pairs of glasses for the price of one

The competition closes on Wednesday 14th December when we'll notify the winners.
