Birmingham's new venue to launch with flagship Saturday soiree this March...

Birmingham techno heads, step up. 2012 has already dealt some heavy blows. The city already waits with baited breath for the arrival of Circoloco at The Arena in April, but this could be the sucker punch. The launch of TRMNL with Radio Slave on 31st March at Digby's brand new 1000-capacity venue, Lab 11, will mark a weekly campaign of carnage involving the most colossal names in house and techno in coming months — Carl Craig, Sebo K, Einzelkind, Audiofly, 2000 And One and Anja Schneider — pitched as Brum's answer to Watergate.

With a plethora of high-end names already announced for the eight-week launch season alone, we ask: is Birmingham slowly-but-surely becoming the new centre of the technoid universe? Perhaps we should call it Berlingham.
