Back to Jack

Luke Vibert heads up Soundcrash Warehouse Party

While secret East London warehouse parties are ten a penny these days, they're usually subject to the underwhelming catch-all sound of deep house. Taking it back to the throbbing sound of raw acid house, chopped breakbeats and window-rattling bass on the 2nd of June, Soundcrash assemble a line-up that's filled with jack, even without knowing the identity of the special un-named guest.

Top of the bill is the hugely prolific Luke Vibert, whose 21 albums and various aliases such as Wagon Christ and Plug across almost every style of electronic music imaginable make him one of the UK's most innovative minds. Supporting are Mancunian house/techno pioneers 808 State, with a rare live set that is bound to include classics ‘Pacific State’ and ‘Cubik’ as well, hopefully, as DJ Mag favourite, 'In Yer Face'. Also onboard is Ceephax Acid Crew – no doubt mourning the loss of the actual ceephax – aka Andy Jenkinson, brother of Squarepusher, which may or may not give some hint as to the aforementioned special guest... There's only one way to find out.
