Tresor exhibition & party

Delve inside world famous Berlin club from 8th - 17th June

There are certain clubs from certain eras that seem to encapsulate the spirit of the times. Mention the word Tresor to anyone who was in Berlin in the '90s just after the wall came down, or was involved in the founding and spreading of the gospel of techno, and their recollections of an anarchic time of sudden freedom and partying will soon have you wishing you'd be there.

Released last month, SubBerlin is a a documentary by Tilmann Kunzel which lifts the lid on Berlin’s world famous club, which closed down in 2005 before reopening in a new venue, and includes interviews with everyone from Juan Atkins and Derrick May to Sven Väth and Chris Liebing.

After a private viewing of the film on 7th June at Red Galley in Shoreditch, London, the public will be able to delve into Tresor's history from 8th - 17th June with a special exhibition featuring unseen material from Tresor’s archives, memories from the people that attended the club, and film and documentary.

On Saturday 16th June, the Red Gallery then plays host to a special party headed up by Mike Huckaby, the influential Detroit producer who has played a key role in developing and maintaining the musical link between his home town and Berlin.

Full details after the film trailer.
