Mat Zo new single, US tour and DJ mix
London-based Mat Zo follows up his 'The Bipolar' EP, which won fans from Afrojack to Arty, with 'The Sky', a vocal anthem featuring Linnea Schossow in trance and progressive house (which is what Beatport now seems to be calling electro) variations.
Filled with warm synth melodies and a giant breakdown powered by a hypnotic oscillating bassline, the extended mix is the slower, more epic of the two. Pick the club mix instead and you get saw-tooth bass and risers taking centre stage before the vocal appears, more muted, in the break.
Mat’s extensive North American schedule this summer is an indication of his growing popularity, a large majority of the dates including The Language Tour, alongside Porter Robinson and The M Machine.
