Stab in the Dark
Knife Party return with 'Rage Valley' EP
Their aren't many artists able to collaborate with Swedish House Mafia a year after their first show (which was for Radio One no less), but then Knife Party seem to have jumped straight to the top of the music industry's greasy pole. From Australia, but capturing the zeitgeist sound of the States, a whirling blend of electro, dubstep, drum and bass and moombahton, the duo – Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen – have a similar metal past to Skrillex, naming themselves after their favourite Deftones song, and if their recent US tour is anything to go by, they already nearly in the same league.
With 'Antidote', their aforementioned SHM joint venture hitting the Top Ten around the globe, they're back with the 'Rage Valley' EP. Set to top the half a million download of their first '100% No Modern Talking' EP, a Beatport number one, it's a four track introduction to what they simply called 'seizure music'.
