Drums of Death releases 'Blue Wave' EP

Free track from final part of Wave trilogy, plus download Azealia Banks production

Four years ago, DJ Mag first bore witness to the raging, painted energy of Scottish act Drums of Death after booking him to play at The End. With little more than a laptop, a mic and a snarling attitude hidden beneath a death mask of white, which ran onto his black shirt as the night wore on, it was an electrifying performance.

While 2010's debut album 'Generation Hexed' found him develop this into a three piece band, he's recently returned solo with a trilogy of dancefloor EPs featuring minimal vocals and maximum club bang. Following the 'Black Waves' and 'Red Waves' EPs, the closing shot is the 'Blue Waves' EP (out now on Civil Music and a DJ Mag Killer of the Month), which comes crashing in with tsunami-sized force.

Featuring four tracks mixing up techno, electro and bass pressure, we have a free download of the radio edit of the fantastic 'Let No Shadow Fall Upon You', which revels in Drums of Death's obvious love of rave, plus a link to a download his production for hype vocalist Azealia Banks.

Having been working with super-producer Paul Epworth, the EP completes the evolution of Drums of Death V.2. And with a new live show from the Greenaway & Greenaway design team, who've previously helped to elevate Deadmau5, Chase & Status and Eric Prydz, there's every chance that, this time around, the world could fall in love with his blend of head-banging theatrics and hard electro.
