Jacques Greene releases 'Ready' EP

Montreal producer takes r&b for a ride on the techno train

Having released on LuckyMe and Night Slugs, as well as remixed the likes of Jimmy Edgar and Radiohead, Montreal producer and DJ Jacques Greene has been making a name for himself in hip, bass-leaning circles. With a taste for r&b vocals mixed with wonky percussion, he's recently launched his own label Vase – the pronunciation of which can be debated over by US/UK fans.

Released this week, his 'Ready' EP for Dutch-born, US-based Martyn's 3024 label, sees Greene take his sound into broken house and techno territory, roughing up and dubbing out his usual brightness for the hazy late night crew. We like it a lot.
