Buddy up with Benji B

Power Up! competition gives you the chance to DJ with Benji B

Budding DJ? Think you got what it takes to wow not only the nation, but Benji B, the DJ Mag editorial team and some reps from Intel? Well good job you stumbled across this article...

Intel have just launched the new Ultrabook- a flashy subnotebook that’s less than 2cm thick and weighs less than 1.5kg. A party is in store for Intel’s new creation and they want you to be in with the chance of getting a prestigious DJ slot with Benji B in London.

For your chance to win this momentous DJing opportunity, send in a max 10 min mix of yours via Facebook. Deadline for this is 4th September 2012 at 18:00 GMT. Things get that little bit more thrilling as the mixes get unleashed for public vote from 5th September 18:00 GMT- 12th September 18:00 GMT.

These votes then get short listed by the panel- Benji B, Mick Wilson (DJ Mag Tech Editor) and Intel UK’s PR Manager Perveen Akhtar - to a tight squeeze of 18 DJs, which will be revealed on 19th September 2012 18:00 GMT.

Stakes rise when these 18 DJs play at the regionals in Manchester, Birmingham and London from 1st - 11th October 2012.

Six out of the 18 DJs then get chosen for the finals to play for 30 mins (repectively, of course...) with the DJ stalwart Benji B, BBC Radio 1 presenter and DJ of pretty much the whole music spectrum, at a secret location in London.

“What’s the prize package?” we hear you wail. Read on down:

-a very well-deserved Ultrabook (worth £800)
-30 min slot playing alongside Benji B
-DJ Mag and Intel UK social media exposure
-be featured in the professionally filmed highlight video of Intel’s Power Up with Ultrabook
-provision of travel, one night accommodation & hospitality
-5 guest passes (accommodation and travel expenses not included)

Plus, the DJ that gets the most public votes in the finals gets a B@TV podcast appearance with DJ Mag and two tickets to the Power Up! event.

So get your skates on and send in your mixes by 4th September 2012, 18:00 GMT.
