Sónar is on tour

With Seth Troxler, Die Antword, Azari & III and more

Sónar is a favorite staple in the European electronic dance music calender, offering a huge array of music – from hip-hop to techno – day and night, in warehouses, on rooftops, in clubs and, of course, the festival's own giant aircraft hanger sized venues.

It was only a matter of time then before they turned their gaze upon the new holyland of America, opening their bristling contacts book to put together a tour that captures the spirt of their Barcelona-based event without you having to shell out the airfare.

In true style, it's a cross-section of the bold and the brave, capturing the strongest names from across their respective fields. Seth Troxler – whose relationship to 'Bats!' (YouTube it if you don't know) makes him no stranger to sonar – heads up the techno alongside German legend Paul Kalkbrenner, a man so popular stared in his own movie 'Berlin Calling'.

Britain's Nic Fanciulli brings his tracky house grooves while Toronto's Azari & III bring the spirit of old school Chicago to the live show, and Tiga and Gesaffelstein journey through the many tiers of techno.

They're all joined by the skewed alternate reality of South African Zef rap duo Die Antwoord, aka Ninja and Yolandi, whose hyper-styled videos have helped them to gain an international cult following.
